Manchester United BOOED OFF by fans after dour draw with Valencia

03 October 2018

United face Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday and, speaking prior to the clash at Old Trafford, Scholes slammed Mourinho's behaviour.

The result left United second in the group on four points from two games, two behind leaders Juventus who maintained their ideal start with a 3-0 home win over Young Boys. At one point United were playing with a back six, against West Ham, not Liverpool.

Valencia struggled to create chances as Michy Batshuayi muscled his way around United defenders constantly giving them trouble though they managed to hold out their attacks.

The pressure of representing the Old Trafford outfit is intense at any time but has been intensified by recent poor results.

The Red Devils have already three games in the Premier League this season accompanied by an early exit in the Carabao Cup at the hands of Championship side Derby County. "And I don't say more than that".

"We knew that our attacking players aren't in the best individual form and confidence".

East Japan Railway stopped all train services in and around Tokyo at 8:00 pm, shortly before the typhoon hit the Japanese capital. Japan issued evacuation orders and warnings to about 700,000 households in southern and western Japan.

"I am sat here actually surprised he survived after Saturday, the performance was that bad", Scholes said on BT Sport.

'The decision [about the captaincy and vice-captaincy] is for the coach to make, now we need to see the positives.

"We have Newcastle before the league stops (for the global break) then we have Chelsea and Juventus in three days".

"I was asked after the game if I still think he is the right fit - and I think he still could be".

And, with the Portuguese taking shots from all angles, including Paul Scholes' outburst on Tuesday night, the United skipper has done little to dispel the reports of disharmony within the camp.

"You would be getting another reason to criticise me, I think you have had enough".
