If rumoura are to be believed, Apple will launch a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch model named the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Apple will use the iPhone's launch to also introduce upgrades to its entire portfolio of popular consumer gadgets.

Along with a giant display, this phone could also get a new name with a recent leak revealing Apple may ditch the usual Plus branding in favour of calling the Max. We'll be reporting live from Apple's spaceship-shaped campus with all the details. Compared to the iPhone XS, which is about $200 more expensive, the cheaper C-model has only one main camera, an LCD display with lower resolution instead of an AMOLED panel and less RAM.

The range of available colors generally fits previous reports, as does the 6.1-inch LCD screen.

Meanwhile, an analyst at Piper Jaffray, who reiterated their overweight rating on Apple shares, recommend buying the stock on Apple's "wider array" of new iPhones slated for release on September 12. But these prices are quite solidly comparable with the current baseline pricing on the iPhone X and 8. The glass panel in itself is decorated in white, space grey, pink and red colours, which means Apple might not be waiting until spring 2019 to start selling the Product RED version. We may also learn about a new generation of Apple Watches, iPad Pros, and possibly get a first look at the successor to the Macbook Air.

If past years are any indication, the event will be used to unveil a slew of new products, including new iPhones, a new Apple Watch, and maybe even a refreshed pair of its wireless AirPods.

This week is a big one for fans of Apple smartphones, as the company will announce iPhones on Wednesday. The iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone 9 and the iPhone 7 are seen, which probably hints towards Apple's intention of focusing all attention on these models.
