Demi Lovato hospitalized for overdose

Emergency officials confirm they transported a 25-year-old woman who lives on Demi Lovato's block to the hospital amid reports that the pop star suffered a drug overdose. Apparently, as you may be aware by now, Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and was in a scary condition.

Last month, she released the song "Sober," in which she revealed she had fallen off the wagon after six years of sobriety.

Her rep tells ET Canada in a statement: "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support".

Ellen DeGeneres tweeted that "it breaks my heart that she is going through this". Lovato has openly shared her obstacles with fans throughout her recovery.

She even gave interviews about her new sober lifestyle while high on drugs she said, while cycling through sober companions. TMZ reports she had been sober from cocaine for 6 years.

So a wave of sadness flooded social media when news of the singer's overdose on Tuesday (July 24) was reported by TMZ. "I had a moment where I was like, 'Oh, my God that is alcoholic behavior.' [It's] no longer, 'I'm young and rebellious and having fun.' 'It was, 'Wow, I'm one of those people, I gotta get my s- together".

Last month she topped the United Kingdom singles chart as a guest vocalist on the Clean Bandit single "Solo".

In addition, Demi Lovato's scheduled performance in Atlantic City this coming Thursday has been cancelled.

In her 2017 documentary Simply Complicated, she said her first encounter with drinking and partying was in high school, and it all escalated during her Disney Channel days.

Demi is now mid-way through her world tour and was next due to perform on Thursday in Atlantic City, but the performance has been cancelled.

Lovato has been outspoken about her battles with bipolar disorder and substance abuse.

"We kinda need our money back", added her friend Samantha Harsh, who paid $250 for four tickets.

Lovato often speaks about how important her fans are to her. We all know how strong you are Demi.
