The scene features Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) inside the Quantum Realm, being guided by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfieffer) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly).
Most of Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place before the events of Infinity War.
Wired has linked up with the cast of Marvel's latest hyped movie, Ant-Man and The Wasp, to answer the internet's most-searched questions surrounding the movie. But for fans still hung up on Infinity War and how things will play out in next year's untitled Avengers 4, Ant-Man and the Wasp offers what we think might be a few select clues to the future of the MCU. Since they are under house arrest, they can not participate in the fight in Infinity War.
In that post-movie tease, Scott Lang enters the Quantum Realm in order to collect healing particles to help Ghost, but gets stranded down there after Hank Pym, Hope van Dyne and Janet van Dyne are blinked out of existence.
The second post-credits scene takes place immediately after the first. This is where the tricky part comes in. Unsurprisingly, we learn that all three of them were dissolved into dust care of Thanos's Infinity War finger snap, right at the most inopportune time, leaving Scott presumably stranded in the Quantum Realm with no way to get out, no way to communicate with the outside world, and no one alive with the knowledge that he's even there at all. What if the time vortexes are Scott's only way out of the Quantum Realm? Let us know in the comment section below!
Want a replica LeBron James Lakers jersey? That'll be $75
With James, the Lakers are now instantly a contender in the Western Conference, as they are getting the best player in the league. Clearly there is no rush for him to take the Lakers, one of the NBA's most storied franchises, from a low ebb to a title.
While any temporal journeying could be the result of the Time Stone now in possession of Thanos, it could also come from Ant-Man's inter-dimensional travels in the Quantum Realm that leads into a time vortex. The audience watches Hope, Hank and Janet float away.
Check out what Paul Rudd had to say in the player above and below is exactly what we talked about.
But hey, the good news is that Scott's ant friend survived Thanos!
It's also worth considering that the Quantum Realm may have literally been out of reach of Thanos's snap all together, and thus, in one way or another, immune to the Infinity Stones' powers.
In the meantime, Avengers 4 is slated to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2019 while Spider-Man: Far From Home will come shortly afterward on July 5, 2019.
