Microsoft looks past next-gen Xbox to cloud games

Of those, 18 titles were tailored exclusively for the Xbox console.

Xbox recently revealed during its E3 2018 press conference from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles the latest chapter of the Halo franchise: Halo Infinite. Perhaps one of the biggest moments for Microsoft console owners was the confirmation that 343 Industries is developing a brand new Halo game. Well, according to Thurott, this new console is now codenamed "Scarlet".

We know there's a new Xbox console on the horizon, though Microsoft hasn't given an official timeline. "We are devoted to idealizing your experience anywhere you wish to play such as your PC, your Xbox, and your phone", he claimed.

Microsoft is also adding five new game studios, one it is creating in Southern California and another four it is buying, Xbox team chief Phil Spencer said.
