"This free software update introduces the most advanced, easy to use, wireless multi-room audio system using AirPlay 2 to play music in any room from any room", said Apple.

Apple iOS 11 also brings support for storing messages on iCloud along with bug fixes and improvements. Now you'll be able to ask your HomePod for a rundown of what's on your schedule, as long as you're using Apple's Calendar app. The difference now is that Apple has finally unlocked a couple of capabilities the smart speaker was sorely lacking: stereo pairing and multi-room audio. Also, it is advisable to back up your data before beginning the update process. What this means is that you can delete one conversation on a device and it will be gone from another, making the process of managing your conversations far more epic than before.

IOS 11.4 is out, and it brings with it a feature that was first promised to us in iOS 11.3 created to help streamline messaging between devices.

This isn't a huge update in itself, but the inclusion of Messages on iCloud makes it a noteworthy update.

Almost a year after release, HomePod Stereo Pairing has finally arrived, alongside other goodies with AirPlay 2. Brands like Bang & Olufsen, Bluesound, Bose, Sonos, etc are offering such speakers.
