The former New York City mayor is embracing his client's preferred approach to challenges as he mounts Trump's defense through the media.
Speaking to ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on Sunday's episode of "This Week", Giuliani said that his client, Donald Trump, doesn't have to comply with a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller, in addition to saying he could not be confident that the president would not take the Fifth Amendment if he has to testify in the Russian Federation investigation. Giuliani told anchor George Stephanopoulos on ABC News' "This Week".
"The more Mr. Giuliani talks, the worse Mr. Trump's legal situation becomes", Eisen said.
Giuliani told ABC News a presidential pardon for Cohen is "not on the table" at the moment and has not been discussed amongst Trump's legal team.
"I have no knowledge of that, but I would think if it was necessary, yes", Giuliani replied.
"He's the president of the United States", Giuliani said.
During a 2016 campaign rally, Trump disparaged staffers of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, for asserting their constitutional right against self-incrimination during a congressional investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server.
Trump said Friday that Giuliani needed to "get his facts straight" but insisted they weren't changing their story.

He also asked for dismissal of the Washington-based criminal charges on similar legal grounds, but there has not been a ruling. Trump commented on Ellis' rebuke in a speech Friday afternoon at the National Rifle Association's annual convention in Dallas.
Rudy Giuliani's statements are proving hard for the Trump administration.
The payment was created to silence Daniels from speaking out about an alleged consensual sexual encounter she had with Trump years before he was running for president.
When asked Sunday whether Trump knew about the payment to Daniels after the campaign, Giuliani demurred.

Clifford says she slept with Trump in 2006, while he was married to first lady Melania Trump, and was paid to keep quiet. The payment has prompted complaints to the Justice Department and Federal Election Commission over potential violations of campaign finance law.
Giuliani instructed Stephanopoulos that he does not have data of any funds to different girls by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen however that he could not rule it out.
Michael Avenatti, Ms Daniels' attorney, said Sunday on This Week that he thinks it's "obvious.to the American people that this is a cover-up, that they are making it up as they go along".
Conway also said she did not know of any other payments made to women during the campaign that were similar to the Daniels transaction, saying "they didn't cross my desk as campaign manager". A recent tally by The Washington Post found the President has made more than 3,000 false or misleading claims since he took office. "It may have involved the campaign".
