Salah nominated for PFA Players' Player of the Year award

City are represented by Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sané on the shortlist for PFA Players' Player of the Year, with Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and David De Gea making up the six-man list.

"Of course, De Bruyne has had a magnificent season for Manchester City too - but what happened in the past week in two of the biggest games for both players has just tipped it in Salah's favour".

With 12 assists and nine goals in the league alone, the German winger is on course to register double figures in both by the time the season comes to a close.

Sane and Kane are also on the shortlist for the Young Player of the Year award alongside City goalkeeper Ederson and forward Raheem Sterling, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and left-back Ryan Sessegnon, who has starred in Fulham's push for promotion from the Championship.

The Egyptian has enjoyed a sensational season since joining the Reds from AS Roma in the summer and he is now also in the race for the Golden Boot having notched in 29 goals so far in the League.

He has scored 39 goals and 11 assists in 44 games in all competitions in his first season at the Anfield.

Sterling, 23, is joint-fourth in the Premier League's scoring charts behind Salah, Kane and Sergio Aguero with 16 goals, and has also added eight assists.
