It is the show's 11th season, but with a 21-year gap since its initial nine-season run.
After President Donald Trump telephoned her personally to offer his congratulations for her sitcom's stellar ratings, Roseanne Barr is returning the favor by defending Trump in a series of freakish tweets posted Friday (March 30).
The "Roseanne" reboot has been the talk of Hollywood ever since initial ratings from Nielsen showed that 18 million people tuned in to it on Tuesday night. It's the show's symbolism in the Trump era that has launched a thousand thinkpieces and tweetstorms, with Roxane Gay pointing out in the New York Times that the show promotes the myth that the working class voted for Trump.
On Friday, Ms. Barr tweeted "yeah!" at the idea of Mr. Trump making a guest appearance on the show.

During her Thursday appearance on Good Morning America, Barr recalled Trump's phone call as "exciting". One of the show's stars, Sara Gilbert, expressed how happy she was about the high ratings the show's premiere received during her daytime talk show, The Talk, on Thursday, March 29.
She continues saying that a number of the network's shows - Grey's Anatomy, Black-ish, and Modern Family - are noticeably diverse, but still targets a demographic that is upper-class. "He really understands ratings and how they measure things and that's kind of been an interest of mine, too, for a long time". But this could be the one TV series that evolves into a ratings outlier.
"Most of the time we just see how Trump supporters have horns and they're disgusting and they're ruining the country", McCain went on, suggesting that its refreshing to see Trump supporters portrayed in a good light.
Barr on Twitter last November asked users to put her in contact with QAnon, and her account was suspended for several hours and website went offline, with conspiracy theorists claiming that she had been silenced by deep state actors determined to supress QAnon's secrets. "And when you sacrifice that in your life and say I don't think I'm going to lean on somebody else financially that means you've got to get up every day and go work-I am not saying that none of these women work".
