The world's largest music streaming service has gone live in South Africa, a day before the company is due to hold a press conference to announce its local launch. The number has grown from 36 million in February.

The company said the music service is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Microsoft Store. Google does not release paid subscriber numbers for its service, Google Play Music.
