The President of France Emmanuel Macron and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, issued a joint statement, stating that the two nations have singed 14 agreements after being in a meeting for 90 minutes.
The visiting President Macron, who spoke about right chemistry in bilateral relations with India, and Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction at the working of the bilateral Maritime Dialogue instituted in 2015. Described as a "golden step" by PM Modi in his joint statement with Macron, the deal will facilitate the French and Indian armed forces to receive logistical support, supplies and services from each other during authorised port visits, joint exercises, joint training, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts. The two leaders also presented a vision for a future where they will explore the Moon, Mars and particularly Venus.
A number of Key agreements are expected to be inked in various areas.
"France and India have shared concerns with regard to the emerging challenges in the Indian Ocean Region that include: "maritime traffic security in the face of the threats of terrorism and piracy, especially in the Horn of Africa; respect of global law by all States" - especially with regard freedom of navigation and overflight", the Joint Strategic Vision said.
Travelling with his wife Brigitte, the French president will also visit the monument to love, the Taj Mahal, a few hours drive from the Indian capital on Sunday.
An agreement between Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd and EDF, France, was signed to prescribe a way forward for the implementation of the 9900 MW Jaitapur nuclear power project at Madban village of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra.
Macron, who arrived in India on Friday night on a four-day visit was received at the airport on Friday night by PM Modi, in a special gesture.

"It is absolutely critical because our two democracies have common challenges regarding terrorism, a lot of common risks, a lot of threats", Macron said.
This is Macron's first visit to India after he assumed office in May in 2017.
"France is the entry point to Europe".
The French President is scheduled to attend the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Summit, an initiative mooted by France and India on Sunday followed by a visit to Taj Mahal.
It is open to all 121 prospective member countries falling between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn.
During the course of his stay in India, Macron will also visit Agra and Varanasi and have a town hall interaction with students in New Delhi.
