Kawhi Leonard says he'll return "soon", no friction between him and team

Kawhi Leonard's ongoing quad injury has been a frustrating issue for both the player and the San Antonio Spurs this season as he's only managed to play nine games so far.

Leonard has played in just nine games this season.

The 26-year-old Leonard won't be joining the Spurs on the upcoming three-game road trip, which kicks off Thursday against the Golden State Warriors, followed by games at Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.

Leonard's return to the line-up is not expected until later this month at the earliest.

Students are now driving this issue and voicing opinions but we need society to hear our points. She says the message she wants to send across the state and nationally is students want change.

Kawhi Leonard (quad) said he expects to get back to the court "soon", but acknowledged he still doesn't have a set date. "The progression that I've been making has been great, so I've just got to keep doing what I'm doing". "But I've just got to keep doing what I'm doing". I don't feel like (there) was friction. The San Antonio Spurs star didn't make his season debut until December 12 and was shut down once again after appearing in just nine games. When a reporter asked if he would like to finish his career as a Spur, he replied, "Yeah, sure".

"It's been tough (not playing), but these guys have been doing it all season", Leonard said. I'm thankful for the teammates that I do have. I talk to [head coach Gregg Popovich] every day.

When asked about the pain in his leg and whether it has diminished, Leonard said, "It's diminishing". "It's hard to explain, but I am definitely better". "Don't want to take no steps back and aggravate things". San Antonio never trailed until the final two minutes of each home game. He knows what the progressions were, he knew what I was doing the whole entire time as well as the front office. Leonard was medically cleared by the team, but opted not to play and even sought out additional consultation at a NY facility.

"We made a group decision, so it wasn't me just going out and saying 'I'm going to go do this'".
