The team was announced by Hockey Canada Thursday morning in Calgary, and there will be some Saskatchewan content on the squad.
The team will be coached by former Vancouver Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins who is from Climax with one of his assistants being Saskatoon's Dave King.
Team Canada announced its roster Thursday, which unlike in the past, doesn't contain any current National Hockey League players.
"When we go to these Olympics, this team will make Canada proud", Burke said.
Former WHL players who didn't make the National Hockey League are also rounding out the roster.
Ontario's Eric O'Dell played 41 games with the Jets in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons while also spending four seasons with their AHL affiliate in St. John's.
Williamsville native, David Leggio, has been named to the 2018 U.S. Olympic men's ice hockey team.

That leaves the men's team digging for a few players from the NCAA ranks - four to be exact - while the women's team adds a pair of current college players to its roster. The World Juniors is one of the best tournaments around, with some of the most exciting hockey.
With the opening ceremonies less than a month away, the Canadian Olympic Committee has yet to state what the Canadian team's medal target is for Pyeongchang.
It could be an incredible story for these players; they could be Canada's heroes in this tournament and in this Olympics.
The women's national team was announced December 22.
Canada's men's team is the reigning gold medal holder twice over, having won the whole kit and caboodle in both 2014 and 2010.
