Chelsea academy graduate Jake Clarke-Salter has joined Championship side Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.

The Black Cats are enduring a disastrous season and now sit rock bottom of the Championship.

And speaking to safc.com, full-back Jones revealed how the young defender is settling into life on Wearside. Sunderland, who were relegated to the Championship at the end of the last season, are currently sitting at the bottom of the league and their manager Chris Coleman is now looking to avoid further mishap by acquiring players who can help him in his task.

The Black Cats only have 22 points from 26 games.

Price at the pump continues to rise
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday that the increase is due to higher crude oil costs. Just last week gas went up two cents from $3.85 a gallon of regular unleaded to $3.87 a gallon.

Clarke-Salter has only had one loan tenure prior to the Sunderland deal and it was with Bristol Rovers. He's made two first team appearances for Chelsea, with John Terry saying he's good enough to one day become a first team regular.

Sunderland will hope to have Clarke-Salter signed for their next match against Cardiff City. He has only played once for his parent club this season in the Carabao Cup where Antonio Conte's men comfortably beat Nottingham Forest 5-1 at Stamford Bridge.

He starred for England in their Under-20 World Cup win and was close to joining Birmingham on loan in the summer.

Interestingly Clarke-Salter was picked to be on Chelsea's bench for the Norwich game.
