Fire at Trump Tower in New York's Manhattan, no casualties

Two people were injured after a fire broke out at Trump Tower Monday morning, FDNY said.

An electrical fire has caused smoke to billow from the roof of Donald Trump's skyscraper on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue and has injured three people. WPIX reports the rooftop fire was noticed by the Secret Service, who alerted building officials who were able to track the blaze to its source in a vent.

More than 126 firefighters responded to the scene.

The Fire Department said the fire was not inside the building, but on top of it.

Eric Trump, one of the president's sons and the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, referenced a problem with a cooling tower on the roof and praised the fire fighters swift response on Twitter. NY time, reportedly by Secret Service agents.

A short circuit in a bathroom fan was responsible for the fire in a detached building on the Clintons' property, according to The Associated Press.

President Trump was in Washington and has plans travel to Nashville to give a speech at the American Farm Bureau Federation's Annual Convention. "The men and women of the #FDNY are true heroes and deserve our most honest thanks and praise!"

That same day, Neon Nettle published a second piece saying that the "massive fire" (it was not massive) had fueled fears that Trump could be the victim of a "deep state assasination".
