According to Jerry McDonald of the Mercury News, Gruden said, "Well, I think I am being considered, yes". "I've known him for a while".

Oakland has been circling Gruden like a hawk since Saturday when NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Raiders would fire Del Rio if pursuing Gruden was a credible option, and that the Raiders would offer the former Raiders and Buccaneers coach upwards of $10 million annually and an ownership stake in the team.
Del Rio informed reporters after Sunday's season-ending loss to the Chargers that owner Mark Davis has informed Del Rio that a change is being made.
Gruden can not come out and say what's been widely reported - he is leaving ESPN for the Raiders job - but he did at least acknowledge the fact he is up for the job. Which will be critical for the Raiders during what likely will be their past year in Oakland. If the rumors are accurate, it will be up to Gruden to recapture the magic which led to a 12-4 record past year. ESPN still has one last National Football League game to broadcast this season, Saturday afternoon's wild-card clash between the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.
LG to unveil 88-inch 8K OLED display at CES 2018
The upside is that, while LCD panels have extra weight thanks to the backlighting units, the OLED equivalent is far lighter. Furthermore, the price of LG 8K OLED TV, though not officially announced, will sure not come cheap.
The Raiders fired head coach Jack Del Rio earlier on Sunday after the team finished a disappointing 6-10. He was wide receivers coach with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints prior being hired as New York's offensive coordinator last March.
The Raiders will be required to comply with the "Rooney Rule" and interview at least one minority candidate or otherwise face discipline from the NFL.
Tom Flores was the first Hispanic coach to win a Super Bowl and the team also hired Hue Jackson as coach in 2011 and now employs Reggie McKenzie as general manager.
The Raiders are interested in bringing back Jon Gruden, who they traded to the Bucs after 2001 season.
"I trust the integrity of Mark Davis and Reggie and what they have done", Pollard said.
