James Harrison Signs with New England Patriots

27 December 2017

On his Instagram account, Harrison confirmed the signing by posting a photo with #Tom Brady with the caption: "Finally". Harrison briefly retired in September 2014 following a forgettable 2013 season in Cincinnati but returned when the Steelers ran into injury trouble.

The Patriots finish the regular season on Sunday, December 31 at home against the New Jets.

The New England Patriots have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, according to ESPN and Harrison's Facebook Page.

Harrison hasn't been happy with his role with the Steelers this season and the team let him go in a roster move over the weekend. The team also uses linebackers Kyle Van Noy, Trevor Reilly and Marquis Flowers at the end of the line, depending on the package.

United States sanctions two more North Korean officials over ballistic missile programme
All North Korean nationals working overseas made to return home within 24 months, restricting a vital source of foreign currency. Secretary of State issued the following statement: "North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile".

Both the Steelers and Patriots have earned a playoff berth and a bye-week in the upcoming National Football League playoffs.

He has one sack and three tackles on the year.

A five-time Pro Bowl selection and the 2008 defensive player of the year, Harrison began with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State in 2002. Should both teams reach the conference championship game in January, Harrison could face his former team in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, though, realised Harrison could be scooped up by New England, Tennessee or Baltimore. He'll now have a chance to chase his third Super Bowl ring with a new team.
