13 December 2017

Earlier today, Apple updated the iMac Pro landing page to confirm that sales will launch on December 14 for customers in the US, although no specific date for a Canadian release has been given so far.

That suggests that Apple will start selling their new iMac Pro some time this week, it could possibly go on sale on Friday, although this has yet to be confirmed. The monstrous device will come with some impressive workstation hardware which includes a whopping 18 core, 14 core, 10 core, and 8 core Intel Xeon processor variants. "I've seldom seen a jump this dramatic before on any new generation of Macs - 20%-30% speed increases are the norm ..."

Twelve South's new HiRise Pro builds on its poplar HiRise multi-function stand with a new finish, more storage, elevating your iMac higher, and more.

The iMac Pro's specs are outrageous, and so is the price tag.

It seems as if the iMac Pro is still targeted to creative professionals, with the capabilities to handle high-performance tasks like easy editing of 3D graphics and 4K video. Apple's announced starting price for the system is $4,999.

You can pick up the new HiRise Pro directly from Twelve South or on Amazon.

While the iMac Pro isn't exactly a gadget that needs to be rushed out before the holidays, it's one of two products that Apple promised to release before the end of the year. There is no information as to when the iMac Pro will be available in India.

Apple gave the new machines to some of these types of users to try out for a week or so before the launch. Finally, there is also a 10Gb Ethernet port for fast networking.
