National Football League strongly considering one-game suspension for JuJu Smith-Schuster

Gronkowski delivered a late hit on Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White while he was down following an interception, and then on Monday night Smith-Schuster laid out Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict with a peel-back block and then stood over him after the hit. Instead, it was how Smith-Schuster reacted after leveling Burfict when he stood over him and taunted him. The suspension was originally for a vicious revenge shot to the head of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

If he loses the appeal, the Steelers will face the Ravens without a receiver who has caught 37 balls for 585 yards and five touchdowns this season.

Smith-Schuster added extra attention to the play by standing over an injured Burfict, who has a history of concussions as well as risky hits and actions that have drawn the ire of the league office. "Your conduct following the hit fell far below the high standards of sportsmanship expected of an National Football League player".

Smith-Schuster told reporters he "messed up" with the taunting, because he cost his team 15 yards. But according to Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, that block wasn't even the worst part of the play.

When asked if his comments were related to Burfict, Brown said, "I ain't talking about nobody". The unsportsmanlike conduct is not me.

Along with Smith-Schuster, Bengal safety George Iloka was also suspended for one game for a hit on Brown in the fourth quarter. Love you 50, Get better soon! Karma is karma. Karma is in life.

"I was just playing to the whistle", Smith-Schuster said.

"I like that. I like that", said Brown of the block. "You do the wrong things, you get the wrong things out of it".

Meanwhile, Antonio Brown, the star of the show, is still working through a sprained toe that had him questionable for Monday's game.
