The lawyer for a 27-year-old soccer coach accused of running away with a teenage girl says his client wants to return to Florida from NY as soon as possible to face charges. Under law they have two weeks to get him.
A 27-year-old Florida man is under arrest after he was found with a missing teen in upstate NY. Police say Frisina, a senior at Rodriguez's school, appeared to have climbed out her bedroom window in Lake City Florida last Saturday night, after erasing and leaving behind her cell phone.
"When she made contact with her parents, she was very relieved that her parents knew she was well, she was also very emotional as you can imagine, and regretful for some of the decisions she'd made", said Columbia County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Murray Smith.
Deputies say the teen left Florida with Rodriguez, a soccer coach at her high school.
Police said Friday evening that the pair had been found North Syracuse, where Rodriguez was known to have spent summers. The teen's friend later revealed to the anxious parents that Frisina had previously "hooked up" with Rodriguez, the affidavit stated.
Rodriguez will be in NY, but will be taken by auto back to Florida, where the State Attorney's Office will decide on further charges. "We just don't know what".

The most important of these upgrades Sauber from running a Ferrari engine that is a year old to a current power unit instead. Antonio Giovinazzi, another Ferrari product, will be the team's third driver.
On Dec. 1, New York State Police officer in Syracuse saw the auto, a 2001 red Mercury Sable, that the Rodriguez and Frisina were believed to be in.
According to CBS 47/FOX 30 in Jacksonville, Fla., however, court records show a friend of the teen had told her parents Frisina said the 27-year-old wanted to leave the country with her, but she was afraid to do so. Cops say they revealed explicit exchanges between her and Rodriguez.
Caitlyn Frisina did not speak during the news conference. The sheriff's office said Frisina made a $200 ATM withdrawal Sunday in St. Marys, Georgia, which is about 100 miles northeast of Columbia County.
The 17-year-old girl sneaked out of her home in Fort White on November 25, authorities said.
According to the arrest warrant, the teen's father discovered sexual messages from Snapchat that "confirmed a possible relationship" between his daughter and Rodriguez.
