At the start of this college football season, many expected the Wisconsin vs. MI meeting to be a top-10 contest.
MI quarterback Brandon Peters was treated at a local hospital here Saturday afternoon for a head injury, putting into doubt his status for next week's season finale against Ohio State.
We wish Peters nothing but the best as he recovers from what appeared to be quite a serious injury.
The clear biggest matchup of a Saturday in college football lacking big games elsewhere offered few surprises. Other than a kick from MI, that was the end of the line for the Wolverines' score.
It's the most important game yet for Wisconsin to make a statement to the College Football Playoff selection committee.
Badgers freshman running back Jonathan Taylor had 19 carries for 132 yards and recorded his eighth 100-plus-yard effort of the season. "We need to get better at it. (Wisconsin) had a three-man pick stunt that was effectively holding our center".
Peters completed 9-of-18 passes for 159 yards before leaving.
Twitter warns some accounts may lose verification

The teams played to a 7-all tie at the half, though MI went into the locker room with momentum after fullback Ben Mason scored on a 1-yard run with 2:24 left. "He's going to meet us at the plane, and we'll know more after we see him". Brandon Peters #18 of the Michigan Wolverines drops back to pass during the third quarter of a game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium on November 18, 2017 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Hornibrook persevered despite throwing his 13th interception of the season in the second half against the Wolverines (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten).
Hornibrook threw an interception in the third quarter, as sophomore linebacker Devin Bush picked him off on the Badgers' 29-yard line at the 8:33 mark.
"I just figure out what went wrong, figure out how to fix it and not even think about it anymore", Hornibrook said. "He was good, though". He said, 'We've got to do this for BP'. "Then, we weren't able to get any big chunks in the running game". This week, they beat MI by two touchdowns.
On the very next possession, Wisconsin converted two third and longs, including a 3rd-and-17 for a touchdown. A Wisconsin starting five that ran roughshod over Iowa's physical defense last week could be without center Tyler Biadasz (left leg) against MI.
Evans carried the ball 11 times for 25 yards, Higdon carried seven times for 20 yards and the entire team finished the day with 37 rushes for 58 yards - a 1.6 yards per carry average.
